According to the public relations office of the Iranian Research Institute of Plant Protection, a joint Iran-Indonesia webinar entitled "Food safety and Quality testing of residual toxins” was held by the International Laboratory Networks (ILN) on 7th December 2021. In this webinar Dr. Mohsen Morowati from the Iranian Research Institute of Plant Protection and Dr. Isnaeni from the Research Center for Physics, National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesian were present as speakers.
In this meeting, which was attended by a large number of Iranian, Indonesian, Malaysian, Indian, Filipino, Chinese and Pakistani experts and researchers, Dr. Morowati delivered his speech on food safety, pesticides and their impact on human and environmental health, MRLs and rapid pesticide residues measurement methods in agricultural products. He spoke about the illicit use of pesticides in the world and its adverse effects, especially diseases caused by pesticides such as disorders of the reproductive, respiratory, nervous and digestive systems that lead to infertility and sterilization, various cancers, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and other diseases, and continued explaining about the MRLs and how to determine them.

Finally, the method of rapid measurement of pesticide residues in agricultural products, which was created and performed by Dr. Morowati entitled “Acetylcholinesterase-based paper bio-sensor assay for the quick, cheap and on-site detection of Organophosphorus and Carbamate pesticides in agricultural products " was explained which was appreciated by the participants.
